Our Aloha Friday lunch at Classic Vacations in San Jose had a taste of the islands, literally. L&L Hawaiian Barbeque catered provided ono (delicious) food and we can't thank them enough!

We've had a successful tour so far and have enjoyed visiting and meeting so many new and old friends in California. But we still miss Hawaii, and one of the things we crave is the refreshing treat of shave ice. So, we found one that travels well and thought it’d be good to bring a taste of Hawaii to the West Coast. We named it SI (for Shave Ice)!
Our Spirit of Aloha Tour bus made its way to San Jose where we set up shop at the Costco Warehouse. One of the highlights for not only us but Costco members is the Polynesian Cultural Center entertainers who really set the mood. How cute is the little girl learning how to hula!

Our Spirit of Aloha Tour team got up bright and early to say aloha to our friends at San Francisco's hit radio station Star 101.3! We left our hotel at 4:45 am and stopped by the radio station, following a successful Marriott Resorts Hawaii and Classic Vacations promotion that included prize Hawaiian vacations last month.
Last month, the STAR 101.3 Morning Show consisting of: Don Bleu, his Co-Host/Producer/Traffic/News Reporter April Sommers, and Morning Show Producer, Rittsy, did a live five-hour broadcast from the luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa. We continued our Spirit of Aloha Tour with a trip to the AAA office in Concord. We brought with us the exquisite entertainers from the Polynesian Cultural Center, including Travis Kaka who warmed up his ukulele strings onboard the tour bus before their performance.
As the Spirit of Aloha bus headed north to Sacramento, Michela Dimond, Director of National Accounts, headed east to visit with key clients in Arizona. She received a warm welcome by HelmsBriscoe associates in their new state-of-the-art corporate office in Scottsdale. They were treated to a wonderful lunch while Michela presented the five Hawaii resorts and discussed the benefits of meeting in the islands.
The beauty of hula is that it uses your hands to tell a story. Today at the Folsom Costco, Tracy Freeman (in red) and 5-year-old Avery Clark learned the fine art of hula from the talented Farwyn of the Polynesian Cultural Center.
