Rise and Shine with San Francisco's Star 101.3

Our Spirit of Aloha Tour team got up bright and early to say aloha to our friends at San Francisco's hit radio station Star 101.3! We left our hotel at 4:45 am and stopped by the radio station, following a successful Marriott Resorts Hawaii and Classic Vacations promotion that included prize Hawaiian vacations last month.

Last month, the STAR 101.3 Morning Show consisting of: Don Bleu, his Co-Host/Producer/Traffic/News Reporter April Sommers, and Morning Show Producer, Rittsy, did a live five-hour broadcast from the luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa. It was a trip that Don Bleu just can’t stop raving about. Click here to listen!

Host Don Bleu donned a fresh orchid lei to get into the Hawaiian spirit!

Polynesian Cultural Center's Travis and Lena performed in-studio. Travis rocked his new guitar, which replaced one that literally froze and cracked from the chilly San Francisco weather!

Don talked with JW Marriott Ihilani's Director of Sales and Marketing Brian Soma.

Don also played a game called "Yes or BS" with our spokeswoman Camile Velasco about a subject she knows well, American Idol. And this former American Idol finalist answered most of them all correctly! She sure knows her stuff!

Here's Camile with the Star 101.3 crew and the Polynesian Cultural Center entertainers!

San Francisco may be a beautiful city, indeed a tourist attraction in its own right, but when people from the Bay area want to get away, they'll escape to hotels on the beach in Hawaii. Hawaii is a popular tourist attraction to folks in the Bay. In fact, it's all the talk of the radio. Recently, the Spirit of Aloha team paid the San Franciscan hit radio station Start 101.3 a visit to talk about the great deals you can get on Hawaii hotel rates these days. The radio show did a 5 hour broadcast from the luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa, one of the top hotels in Hawaii.
