Side Trip to Scottsdale

As the Spirit of Aloha bus headed north to Sacramento, Michela Dimond, Director of National Accounts, headed east to visit with key clients in Arizona. She received a warm welcome by HelmsBriscoe associates in their new state-of-the-art corporate office in Scottsdale. They were treated to a wonderful lunch while Michela presented the five Hawaii resorts and discussed the benefits of meeting in the islands.

She also met with Evea Warkentin, President of Epic International, who will be visiting Kauai in May. We trust that she will find the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club to be a perfect location for one of her large groups.
There was plenty of time to also visit clients with ADI Meetings and Incentives, Christina Peterson, Director of Meeting Services and Sandra Schwendemann, CMP, MBA, Director of Operations. It has been some time since they were on the islands so we hope they bring us another Suzuki Dealer Meeting soon.

And no visit to Scottsdale would be complete without stopping by the Corporate offices of Hospitality Performance Network and meeting with their sales associates for an early morning breakfast presentation.

They appreciated all the updates on our completed and upcoming hotel renovations.

Why not make your next business trip at a Hawaii hotel? Mix business and pleasure with luxury hotels in Hawaii, the perfect way to reward to hard working employees with sand and sun. Marriott hotels feature affordable business packages. Why suffer through a dreary business trip when you can make it a tropical excursion? It's a great way to boost employee morale that's never been more affordable. As island life adjusts to the recent economic downturn, many Hawaii hotels are featuring discounted rates. You don't have to deal with large tourist crowds, and your business gets a discount on a luxurious employee incentive.

Not everybody books a vacation at Maui luxury hotels to escape the cold. When summer heats up, the people in Scottsdale, Arizona would love to be anywhere but the desert, especially if involves an Oahu hotel. The Spirit of Aloha made a side trip to Scottsdale to show off tourist maps of Oahu hotels. They shared a wonderful lunch while discussing Maui hotel resorts. While many people visit Hawaii go get away from the snow, folks in Arizona choose it to beat the heat. Considering the temperatures were in the sweltering upper 90s that day, it's easy to see why so many Arizonans dream about getting away to a Kauai hotel.

Andre, I don't know if you

Andre,

I don't know if you remember me or even if you are the person I'm thinking of, but we were North Country basketball rivals way back in the day. I went to Hermon-DeKalb while you were at St. Joseph's.

I live in Miami now where I teach English. My daughter is planning on a trip with her high school choir over Easter to Hawaii. Any recommendations on hotels that wouldn't break the budget on or near Wakiki? It sounds like you really know the islands.

Regards,

Hugh Carvel

Thanks so much for lunch and

Thanks so much for lunch and the comprehensive presentations on the Marriott properties in Hawaii.

As you may know, InSite is our proprietary HB intranet and a large part of it contains review information from HB associates or their clients who have actually EXPERIENCED a property. It's a way of giving "insight" into a hotel, offering information that can't be found on the hotel's website. The experience of our 960 associates is really a tremendous value we can offer our clients. So I would encourage you to ask any of us visiting your hotels to put something in InSite about their experience because we all use it as a reference.

Thanks again for everything. The properties look wonderful and I hope we can work together soon.
