Ono Grinds from L&L Hawaiian Barbeque

Our Aloha Friday lunch at Classic Vacations in San Jose had a taste of the islands, literally. L&L Hawaiian Barbeque catered provided ono (delicious) food and we can't thank them enough!

Classic Vacations President Tim MacDonald also enjoyed it.

Working for L&L behind-the-scenes were two guys from Hawaii -- Matthew Sonoda of Hawaii Kai and Lawrence Kam of Kaneohe.

Lawrence and Matthew, who both go to college in San Jose, even posed with SI (Shave Ice)!

When you're talking hotels on the big island of Hawaii, the tastes and flavors of a Hawaiian barbecue can't be understated. Forget those Hawaiian barbecue joints you see at the mall. The true flavor of Hawaii can only be found at a Waikiki beachside hotel. They'll grill it up right on the beach with a sauce that's been perfected by the locals. The Marriott's Spirit of Aloha tour brings the flavors of island life to the mainland, directly to the people. At a recent stop in San Jose, they served up the flavors of Hawaiian barbecue. It tasted as good as what you would expect to be served by a Kauai hotel on the beach.
