On Our Spirit of Aloha Tour, We Do It Island Style

Early on in our planning meetings for the Spirit of Aloha Tour, we knew that one of the best ways to bring Hawaii to the mainland was through the charming allure of Hawaiian song and dance - beautiful and enchanting Hawaiian melodies with live musicians paired with traditional hula dancers' swaying hips and graceful hand movements. It's all to tell the story of Hawaii one mele (song) at a time. To do this, we partnered with the talented Polynesian Cultural Center entertainers who shared the gift of hula and aloha with everyone along the way. Adorned in beautiful aloha attire, vibrant lei and smiles from ear to ear you couldn't help but feel the warmth of the islands, even when it was a chilly 25 degrees! And day after day they performed their hearts out during live television broadcasts, agency visits, impromptu requests and even photo shoots in Times Square... from the look on their faces you can't even tell it was freezing cold! Mahalo nui loa, Polynesian Cultural Center! Hana hou!

We stopped to chat with Farwyn, Candace, Maluhia, Lena, Halam and Nephi, and asked, "What was your favorite and most memorable city on the tour and why?"

Farwyn

"New York City! I liked the vibe in the Big Apple!" - Farwyn Sakulsingdusit

Candace

"Chicago because it was clean!" - Candace Faamuli

Maluhia

"The most beautiful city for me was Chicago!" - Maluhia Prescott

Lena

"New York City was pulsating with excitement!" - Lena Siaosi

Halam

"Just like Maluhia mentioned, Chicago is a beautiful city!" - Halam Ah Quinn

Nephi

"It has to be New York City, with entertainment all around us!" - Nephi Setoki
