Respecting Hawaii’s Beaches and Reefs

Hawaii is renowned for having beautiful, world class beaches, attracting both visitors and locals for swimming, playing and relaxing. However, it is more than a playground. It is also a precious resource for sea life and fragile reefs.  So, in honor of April as Environmental Awareness Month, we wanted to do our part in keeping the beach in front of Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa clean.

Konnichiwa! Marriott’s Spirit of Aloha Tour to Roll Into Japan and Southwestern U.S.!

We are proud to announce our Spirit of Aloha promotional bus tour will continue with two new road trips planned for Japan and the Southwestern U.S. The two additions are the result of our successful West Coast blitz that began January 12 in San Diego, traveled up the West Coast to Seattle and extended across the mainland to the Midwest and East Coast, ending in our nation’s capital. In the end, our initial Spirit of Aloha promotional tour covered 6,775 miles in 45 days, all to share the message that travel to Hawaii is still affordable and obtainable.

The Legend of Two Lovers - Pele and 'Ohi'a

Since early childhood days, our teachers have taught us about Hawaiian mythology and in particular the legend of Pele, the goddess of fire, lighting, dance and volcanoes. Pele’s home is believed to be in Halema‘uma‘u Crater here in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park.
