Kona Coffee At Its Best

Gail, Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

Coffee lovers know that if you have ever visited the Big Island of Hawaii, you just have to drink a hot cup of pure Kona coffee during your trip! The renowned delight is cultivated only on coffee farms located within a 20-mile stretch on slopes of Hualalai Mountain and Mauna Kea in the South Kona district of the Big Island.

While Kona coffee “blends” are available in various retail outlets, these usually contain a mixture of 10% Kona beans and 90% imported beans. For the best, be sure to shop for coffee labeled as “100% Kona Coffee. Other local products also incorporate Kona coffee, including ice cream, chocolate covered espresso beans and other candies.

Here are two refreshing Kona coffee cocktails by our Executive Chef Manfred Jonas. Try them and see!
