Sharing Aloha in the Grand Canyon State

Marriott's Spirit of Aloha Tour Team

We continued Marriott's Spirit of Aloha tour in Phoenix with two special events. First, we went to Phoenix Children's Hospital, bringing a bit of the Hawaiian islands to the Phoenix Children's Miracle Network children and families. For the past 26 years, Marriott International has partnered with Children's Miracle Network, raising more than $66 million for U.S. children who need hospitalization or specialized care in local communities. Marriott's Spirit of Aloha Tour team donated to Phoenix Children's Miracle Network two vacation packages of a five-night stay at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa and JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa on Oahu, respectively, with roundtrip airfare on Hawaiian Airlines.

The children enjoyed beautiful performances by Former American Idol Finalist Jasmine Trias and the talented Polynesian Cultural Center performers. Here's their performance of the song, "These Islands."

The Polynesian Cultural Center performers also danced ‘auana, or modern hula, putting smiles on everyone's faces.

That evening, we held a reception at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa to say mahalo, or thank you, to our friends, business customers and partners. Here's Director of Sales and Marketing for Marriott Resorts Hawaii Mark Barnes welcoming our guests.

We also gave away Marriott Resorts Hawaii vacation getaways to five lucky guests! Phyllis Pittman of Cash Witthaus won a stay at Kauai Marriott Resort which just completed a $50 million transformation, Shari Jaffe Zee of The Meetings Concierge won the trip to JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina on Oahu, Cara Tracy of the National Speakers Association will visit Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Maui, Mary Evans of Strategic Meetings & Incentives won a stay at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, and Terry Laubhan of HPN will visit Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on the Big Island of Hawaii. They were very excited to win their prizes!

Mahalo Phoenix, for a wonderful start to our 2010 Spirit of Aloha Tour! Dallas, here we come!

Aloha spreads from the shores of a Waikiki beachside hotel to the southwest

Everyone deserves a stay at an Waikiki beachside hotel, especially the brave children of the Phoenix Children's Miracle Network. Marriott International has partnered with the Children's Miracle Network for over 26 years, providing luxurious accommodations at Maui luxury hotels to some of the bravest children in the world. They recently donated 2 packages that included a stay at a Waikiki resort hotel for the entire family. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy time together as a family in all the beauty and wonder that island life in Hawaii had to offer. These children were able to stay for free in some of the best hotels in Hawaii thanks to the generosity of the Marriott as well as donations and grants.

How exciting to see the

How exciting to see the Spirit of Aloha Bus Tour out on the road again. Jasmine Trias and the Polynesian Culture Center troupe were wonderful. What a great way to kick off the trip. I can't wait to see the bus in Omaha.
