It was a day of anticipation at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Youngsters at the Child Development Center were excited to see hula dancers and musicians from Polynesian Cultural Center. They were even thrilled that American Idol Finalist Jasmine Trias stopped by to see them all. Everyone received a shell lei and a hula lesson. What a treat for them to sway their hips to the beat of "On the Beach." We think though that they were more interested in shaking the feather ‘uli ‘uli!
Chris Tatum, vice president of North Asia, Hawaii and South Pacific - Marriott International, presented Rod Hanners, vice president and chief operating officer of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles with a gift certificate for a family of four to travel to Hawaii courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines and a week’s stay at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. The hospital will put the Hawaii vacation certificates up for an upcoming Children's Miracle Network auction.

All in all, we traveled to 12 cities visiting Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Makes it all worthwhile to see the faces of each child light up with glee just seeing the hula dancers perform.
