Keiki Learn to Hula at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte

Marriott's Spirit of Aloha Tour team

On Saturday we visited Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a fun-filled Hawaiian afternoon with Children's Miracle Network children, families and staff members. Eight-year-old Ian Kilpatrick was eager to meet the Polynesian Cultural Center entertainers and dance the hula!

Here's Ian and his grandfather with Polynesian Cultural Center's Jay Iafeta. Ian has been in multiple musicals and dances at his school and did a great job with all the hula moves!

Two-year-old Christian Koroskenyi also got into the action and played with the Hawaiian musical instruments - ipu (gourd), pu‘ili (bamboo rattles), and ‘uli‘uli (gourd rattle with decorative feathers).
