At JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa, Junior Development Head Rie Bryant of the Ihilani Tennis Garden nurtures young juniors of the Ihilani Junior Tennis Team. Coach Rie has been taking care of the Ihilani Tennis Junior programs since 2006. This season, there are three teams in various divisions.
Coach Rie is supported by Director of Tennis Ken Nakama. Together, they provide a great experience for developing tennis skills in a fun environment.
The Junior Team Tennis program began in late February and ends in May. Tournaments are held every Saturday with home games at the Ihilani Tennis Gardens, boasting three hard Plexi-pave courts and two Kramer courts. Kramer courts are the first and only synthetic sand-filled grass surface that provides players with the ultimate in cushion comfort. All five courts offer panoramic mountain and ocean views making Ihilani one of the most beautiful tennis settings in the country.
