Mental Health America of Hawaii (MHAH) recognized Kauai Marriott Resort with the 2010 Outstanding Mental Health Business Leader Award for being the first hotel in Hawaii in 1996 to hire clubhouse members. At the 5th Annual Mental Health Mahalo Awards Luncheon, Chuck Brady, market director for human resources for Marriott & Ritz Carlton Club on Kauai is with Marya Grambs, executive director for MHAH, and David Jordan, clubhouse director of Friendship House Kauai.
Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Trairong Suwankiri and his wife recently traveled to Maui. They toured Lahaina and also visited Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, located in the luxurious Wailea Resort destination. Hawaii is renowned for its beautiful white sand beaches, great surf and sunny tropical weather year-round. In April, the associates at the luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa on Oahu partnered with the Boy Scouts of America and did a beach clean-up. More than sixty volunteers, including three boy scout troops, joined in picking up trash at the lagoons fronting the resort in Ko Olina during Environmental Green Week.

May 1st is a significant day in Hawaii. Known as lei day, it's a time to give, receive and share the aloha spirit with our friends and family. And we here at JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa want to celebrate lei day with our guests by having a Lei Day ceremony.
It began a few days before May 1st with our hard-working associates who took time out of their busy schedules to sew nearly 200 orchid lei.
