Taking Care of Hawaii's Beaches

Luana, JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa

Hawaii is renowned for its beautiful white sand beaches, great surf and sunny tropical weather year-round. In April, the associates at the luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa on Oahu partnered with the Boy Scouts of America and did a beach clean-up. More than sixty volunteers, including three boy scout troops, joined in picking up trash at the lagoons fronting the resort in Ko Olina during Environmental Green Week.

Initiatives such as these are all part of the resort's "Spirit to Serve," a program that reflects our desire to make a positive difference in the communities we live and work in. Marriott associates apply this philosophy daily, not only to people, but also to critical issues facing the environment, including water and energy conservation, and clean air initiatives.

Mahalo to everyone who helped, including Fleance for his assistance and also Roger Nitta for spearheading Environmental Week with different vendors in Kai Lani!

Nice post, we recently come

Nice post, we recently come back to Hawaii tour and first time stayed at “JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa”. We selected a Deluxe Oceanfront room and really enjoyed there. The services and staff were really great and we feel like “home”.

Best Regards,
