Faces were aglow at Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, where the United States Youth Swim Team stayed during the Junior Pan Pacific Championships held from August 26-30 at the Kihei Aquatic Center. The open-water 10K was held right next to the resort and it was definitely a sight to see! Ranging from 14 to 18 years of age, Team USA won 46 medals, beating out all the other teams. The competition was fierce, featuring the top national Youth Teams including Canada, Australia and Japan. Other countries represented in the meet were Bermuda, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Mexico, Trinidad and Singapore.
