Create-Your-Own Delicious Poke at Kuhio Beach Grill!

Donna Lynn, Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

We all know what an omelette bar station is, but how about a poke bar? Visit us for dinner at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa's Kuhio Beach Grill on Tuesdays and you'll experience our newest offering, a create-your-own poke station bound to have you returning for seconds... and thirds...!

Poke (pronounced poh-kay) is a traditional Hawaiian dish consisting of cubed raw fish and seafood mixed with ingredients such as shoyu (soy sauce), ogo (seaweed) and sesame oil. Poke is a local favorite and often considered a staple dish at luaus, celebrations and other gatherings. At Kuhio Beach Grill, you can create your own new recipe with ingredients including ahi (tuna), tako (octopus), salmon, scallops and tofu. The chef will mix the seafood with items of your choosing from a selection of Hawaiian sea salts, local flavors including furikake and spicy mayo, to fresh Maui green onion, vine ripened tomatoes, and more!

Here are some of the items to choose from. How would you create your poke?
