Things to Do

From sunrise atop Haleakala to sunset at the Beach.

Whether you’re a hardy adventurer or simply want to unwind, Maui is the best. But don’t take our word for it. Start at the resort and begin your discovery of this magical island. We can almost guarantee you’ll be back.

  • Maui activitiesSunrise at Haleakala – Begins with a 3 a.m. wake-up call, and ends with a jaw-dropping spectacle 10,000 feet above the ocean. Dress warmly – mittens and all.
  • Whale Watching Cruise – From December to April Maui is the humpback whale hotel. More than 10,000 of these magnificent mammals migrate here from Alaska each year. Can you blame them?
  • Snorkel Molokini – You can see Molokini from Wailea Maui hotels. What you can’t see are its underwater reefs, teeming with tropical fish. For that you’ll need to hop aboard a snorkeling cruise. A must see!
  • The long and winding road to Hana – Every turn is more stunning than the last. Go all the way to Hana, or stop part way and take a cool dip under a waterfall. The goal is to enjoy the trip.
  • Meditation retreat – Maui is renowned for its health spas and meditation retreats. Get a lomilomi massage, chant Om at an upcountry retreat, and eat organic food. It doesn’t get any better than this.
  • Haleakala Helicopter Ride – The lazy traveler’s way to see Haleakala. Takes you above the moon-faced crater and down the other side above Hana. Thrilling to say the least.
  • Book a tee time - With 15 golf courses, Maui is a premier golf destination. Many enjoy top worldwide rankings. The views don’t hurt either!
