
Honolulu – September 28, 2009 – The first 13 getaways in Marriott Resorts Hawaii’s “Tweet Yourself to Hawaii” sweepstakes (www.marriotthawaiitweets.com / @MarriottHawaii) have been awarded, with 12 more free trips for two remaining.
In this part of the contest, each winner and a guest will be traveling to the 50th state, courtesy of Marriott Resorts Hawaii and its partners, Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Hawaiian Airlines and Hertz. The all-expense paid trips for two include five-night stays at a Marriott resort on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, or Hawaii’s Big Island, roundtrips for two via Hawaiian Airlines, rental car from Hertz, dining credit and activities on each island.

The contest web site is www.marriotthawaiitweets.com. People can enter by visiting www.marriotthawaiitweets.com and providing an email address, their Twitter handle and/or a Facebook connection. The winners are being randomly selected at 9:00 a.m. HST every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, ending on Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
Marriott’s Tweet Yourself to Hawaii Sweepstakes campaign launched nationwide on August 18, 2009. To mark the 50th anniversary of Hawaii’s statehood, Marriott Resorts Hawaii is awarding 50 all-expense paid vacations to the islands to randomly selected winners. In addition, Marriott Resorts Hawaii is giving away a trip for one lucky winner and 11 friends to Hawaii through a video contest. Also partnering in this campaign are Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Hawaiian Airlines and Hertz. Announcements of all winners are being made over Twitter from @MarriottHawaii and on Marriott Resorts Hawaii’s Facebook page. The winner is also be notified via the email address entered. The selected winner has up to 48 hours from the time of the selection to claim the prize. If he/she does not claim or accept the prize, a new winner will be drawn.
