Prior to joining JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa, Donato served as Food and Beverage Manager with Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club for nine years. With a total of 21 years of hospitality experience, he had previously worked at JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa from 1994-1998 as a banquet server. With his career beginning as a banquet server attending to wedding guests, his passion and commitment to serve the wedding industry has developed along with his career. In 2007, he was recognized as an honoree of the prestigious JW Award of Excellence from Marriott International.
Donato’s wedding experience goes beyond his work experience. He is proud to have served as the best man in 15 weddings!
A graduate of Waianae High School on Oahu, Donato attended Leeward Community College and Hawaii Pacific University where he received his degree in accounting. During his spare time, he volunteers with New Hope Leeward Church.
