Mandara Spa Presents Lessons in Wellness at Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

WAILEA, MAUI, HAWAII – August 5, 2010 – Beginning August 11, the renowned Mandara Spa at the luxurious Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa will go in-depth with its new Wellness Series, a monthly demonstration that shares the cultural inspirations and health benefits of popular spa treatments.

Open to all guests, each hour-long class will be conducted at the 10,000-square-foot, full-service Mandara Spa, located off the Wailea Beach Marriott's open-air lobby and overlooking the adult-only Maluhia Serenity pool. Each complimentary series will be held from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, August 11 – Hawaii Treatments
  • Featured treatments:
    • The traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, a combination of long, gentle strokes that helps to induce deep relaxation and well-being
    • Hawaiian Tropical Scrub that uses Hawaii's natural ingredients such as coconut and macadamia nut to polish and smoothen the skin
    • Elemis Visible Brilliance Facial, an anti-aging face and eye treatment, designed to instantly firm, rejuvenate and plump up the skin while helping to reduce dark circles
