Aloha Week Celebration at JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa

Complimentary Hawaiian Activities, September 19-24

Ko Olina, Oahu, HI – September 9, 2011 – The luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina invites guests to a weeklong celebration of the Hawaiian culture, September 19-24.

"To coincide with the statewide Aloha Festivals celebration this month, our associates have lined up an array of complimentary cultural activities for our guests and visitors to enjoy," said Dan Banchiu, general manager of AAA Four Diamond award-winning JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa. "We invite everyone to come down and take part in the fun experiences and performances."

Most Aloha Week activities are complimentary and open to the public. The events include:

Monday, September 19

  • 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Ti leaf lei making / Lobby
  • 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. – Aloha Week opening program with music, hula dancing and festivities / Lobby

Tuesday, September 20

  • 10:00 a.m. – Hawaiian healing demonstration / Lobby
  • 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Flower pick making / Lobby
  • 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. – Hula lessons / Lobby
  • 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. – Hula show / Pool Terrace

Wednesday, September 21

  • 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Eyelash yarn lei making / Lobby
  • 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Kukui nut spinning top making / Lobby
  • 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. – Torch lighting and keiki (children) hula show / Pool Terrace

Thursday, September 22

  • 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Sea shell magnet making / Lobby
  • 4:30 – 9:30 p.m. – Fia Fia Luau Show* / Lagoon Lawn

Friday, September 23
