Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort Hires New Leisure Sales Manager

WAIKOLOA, HAWAII (December 15, 2011) – Katherine Gioia has been appointed to leisure sales manager at the oceanfront Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa (www.waikoloamarriott.com), located on the sunny Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island. As the primary sales liaison, Gioia is responsible for overseeing the 555-room resort’s online, retail, and wholesale travel markets.

Gioia served in the sales and hospitality industry for six years, most recently as senior sales and public relations coordinator for The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on Maui.

Originally from Connecticut, Gioia moved to the Hawaiian Islands in 2002 after receiving her degree in marketing communication: advertising and public relations with a minor in publishing from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.
