WAIKOLOA, HAWAII – November 16, 2007 – Sharon Bianco has joined the newly renovated 555-room Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa (www.waikoloamarriott.com) as director of events, responsible for the resort’s catering and banquet operations.

Bianco, who has more than thirty years of experience in the hotel food and beverage, catering, and convention services, most recently served as the assistant director of events at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Prior to that, she was the director of events for the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort from 1999 to 2004 when it was owned and managed by Outrigger Hotels and operated under a franchise agreement with Marriott International.

Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, located on the sunny Kohala Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island, recently completed a $50 million renovation, a highlight of which is the new purposebuilt, 12,000 square-foot Naupaka Ballroom which can seat up to 1,000 guests, banquet style.
