Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii Names Stan Hershenow Regional Director of Group Sales
HONOLULU – SPG Resorts Hawaii has named Stan Hershenow its regional director of group sales. In his new position, Hershenow will be responsible for maintaining and capitalizing on Starwood’s top third-party and intermediary group accounts, as well as engaging and acquiring new development opportunities. Hershenow brings more than 24 years of sales and marketing experience from across the country, predominately in the hotel and lodging industry.
“We welcome Stan back to the Starwood ohana,” said Keith Vieira, senior vice president and director of operations for Starwood in Hawaii and French Polynesia. “Stan’s expertise in both national and international markets will expand and diversify our group sales.”
Most recently, Hershenow was a services and solutions executive for the Xerox Corporation, where he managed sales of the Xerox product portfolio and increased revenues for the company in the metropolitan St. Louis area. Before joining Xerox, he was a performance solutions manager at the ITA Group.
Earlier, Hershenow worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., La Quinta Resort & Club, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and the Grand American Hotel Corporation. Throughout his 21 years in the hospitality industry, Hershenow managed group sales from all market segments in the United States and around the world, and was continuously ranked as one of the top sellers at each property.

As a global account director for southeast incentive global sales at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., Hershenow was recognized with the 2005 Global Sales Organization Salesperson of the Year Award and the Platinum Sales Award in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Hershenow also plans to be involved with the Society of Incentive Travel Executives and the Incentive Research Foundation.
