Azure Table #53 You Dine, We Donate Program

On October 1, Azure Restaurant launched Table #53! General Manager Mike Swerdloff was personally able to seat the first two guests at Table #53 and they were absolutely thrilled with the idea. The fact that they didn’t have a reservation made them feel like they had won the lottery.

What is Azure Table #53?

Starwood Hotels and Resorts Hawaii is committed to giving back to our local community through raising funds to support local charities with its Table #53 You Dine, We Donate program.

Patrons have the opportunity to dine exclusively at Table #53, located at any of our 11 properties across the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii, the Big Island. Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Azure Table #53 will be donated to a designated local charity. Gratuity will be paid to the server and taxes will be remitted to the State of Hawaii. Currently the chosen charity for Azure and The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort is the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Who benefits from the proceeds? 

Proceeds raised will benefit local charities located in our Hawaiian Islands.

Each month Starwood Hotels and Resorts will designate a local charity and donate all proceeds raised.

When does the program start at Azure?

October 1st 2014.

Whom do guests contact to participate?

Patrons who are interested in participating at Azure Table #53 are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling Starwood Waikiki Dining Reservations Desk at (808)921-4600 or Azure directly at (808) 931-7440. Request Table #53.

When can I dine at Azure Table #53?

Reservations are available at 5:30pm and 8:00pm. The table is also available on a first come, first serve basis if no reservations have been taken for Table #53 for the evening.

Is there a limit to the party size?

There is limit of four persons per party.

How long does the program run?

Azure Table #53 You Dine, We Donate runs continuously all year round.

How do we track the proceeds raised?     

On a weekly basis, the Manager will print duplicate checks and record the food and beverage sales in a log work file.  The work file and all supporting receipts are submitted to the Controller’s Office for verification and recording.

How do we calculate the proceeds to be donated?

Accounting will calculate the food and beverage cost credit (up to maximum food credit of 30%) and record the entry.  The remaining balance will be the net proceeds donated.

Each month a check will be processed and donated to a local charity as designated by Starwood Hotels and The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort.
