Twitter Poll – Best Starwood Hawaii Restaurants for Dinner
For all of our Starwood Hawaii fans, we recently asked a poll question via Twitter:
What’s your favorite meal of the day?
The three options were breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The results are in and the winner is… *drum roll please*
It was neck and neck between breakfast and dinner – only a 5% difference – but dinner came out victorious.
In response, we’d like to share some suggestions of great dinner restaurants you can find at our Starwood Hawaii resorts.
We’ve selected one from each island to highlight, and also listed other restaurants worth trying.
RumFire at Sheraton Kauai
Located steps away from the resort’s Ocean Courtyard and Poipu Beach, RumFire offers over 180-degree ocean views from all of its 240 seats.
The restaurant’s cuisine is inspired by the “food fair” that brought a wave of ethnic cuisine to the islands as well as the traditional Hawaiian delicacies.
You can also dine for a great cause with RumFire’s Table 53 program, where all net food & beverage proceeds from the table are donated to local charities year-round.
For the month of July all proceeds from Table 53 will be donated to Hanalei Canoe Club.
RumFire is open for dinner from 5:30 pm to 9:30pm Tuesday through Saturday, with live entertainment nightly.
Some of the performers include Chico Edralin, Kyle LaBenz, and ‘Auli’i Luau among others.
Other restaurants on Kaua’i worth trying:
beachhouse at the Moana Surfrider
Opened in November 2007, beachhouse at the moana combines elegant oceanfront dining and modern classic cuisine in Waikiki at the iconic Moana Surfrider Resort.
Here you’ll experience the finest quality of dining from the cuisine to the ambiance and décor.
Complementing the restaurant’s steak and seafood menu is an international wine list, with over 20 wines by the glass, including a private beachhouse label cabernet sauvignon.
Using the highest quality and locally sourced ingredients, beachhouse creates an appreciation for life’s delights and impeccable culinary classics.
We recommend trying one of Chef David Lukela’s Prix Fix Tasting Menus.
Or if you’re not one for a prix fix menu, you can’t go wrong with your favorite steak and one of Chef’s delicious sides.
We love the Kimchi Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Potato Tots.
beachhouse at the moana is open for dinner nightly from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and offers complimentary valet parking.
Kama’aina can receive a 15% discount.
Other restaurants on Oahu worth trying:
Pulehu at the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas
An award-winning relaxed, upscale restaurant, Pulehu, specializes in classic Italian dishes crafted with a local twist.
“Pulehu” means grilled or cooked over an open flame in Hawaiian language, and describes how each Italian favorite is prepared.
A few of our favorite dishes are the roasted garlic gnocchi, risotto crusted pesce and lamb saltimbocca.
For dessert we love the pineapple genoise cake.
Located inside the Westin Ka’anapali Resort, guests have the option to relax and dine al-fresco by the koi ponds or witness the master chef in action at the show kitchen.
Pulehu is open for dinner Thursday through Monday from 5:30 pm to 9 pm.
Other restaurants on Maui worth trying:
Rays on the Bay at Sheraton Kona
Rays on the Bay is Sheraton Kona’s restaurant, bar and lounge offering delicious local fare, endless ocean views of Keauhou Bay, romantic sunsets, and live seasonal music.
Featuring Big Island-inspired cuisine from farm to plate and hook to cook, you’ll enjoy rich local flavors including Kona Coffee, sea salt and lilikoi as you dine on a fusion of local, Asian and North American dishes.
As its name alludes, Rays on the Bay is the only restaurant on Hawaii Island built on lava cliffs so close to the ocean to provide views of the giant manta rays feeding offshore in their natural environment. (The best time to view them is after 8 pm!)
Rays on the Bay is open for dinner from Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Complimentary valet parking is offered for guests dining at Rays on the Bay.
No matter what island you’re on, the dining options are endless.
